The rain has drifted west. I can see it still, even hear it if I listen closely, but here the clouds have begun to part, the clear sky peaking through. I bless the rain over the mountains as the sun appears suddenly, bathing our heads in golden warmth. She is off already, climbing a wind fallen tree and calling to the dogs, their cheerful wagging rumps rummaging among the leaves at the edge of the woods. My feet beat a light rhythm and I’m grateful for open skies at last.
