"Sparkling Mangoes," a 6"x9" Vertical Acrylic Painting

$500.00

"Sparkling Mangoes" is an abstract acrylic still life showing a tumble of cut mango on a pale gray field. Nearly monochromatic, this piece is a celebration of yellow shades and sure to brighten up any space. This is a 6"x9" painting on paper, mounted on am 11"x14" stretched canvas and framed in a maple floater frame.

The Gioia collection is inspired by the desire to incite joy in the viewer. The idea came from watching a TED talk by Ingrid Fetell Lee, who demonstrated that joy can be sparked using specific visual cues. I made these ninety abstract still lifes of flowers, fruits, and vegetables with the aim of using those same visual cues to create that beautiful sensation of joy, something we need more than ever as we learn to navigate the stressful new world order.

This painting features:

  • Archival quality acrylic paint and naturally derived, nontoxic earth pigments

  • Arches oil painting paper

  • Mounted on stretched canvas

  • Framed in maplewood floater frame

This is a small painting and ships for a flat rate of $15, which includes protective packaging and shipping insurance. This piece ships in a box.
